Political and topical news and commentary
Let's see if I'm right,or wrong.

The World has become small enough through technology for everyone to watch the build up to the American Elections. I'm enjoying the action, the debate and the move towards Super Tuesday. I am not qualified to understand American politics but I am getting a flavour of what's happening and I can, forgive me , give my own views.

I felt the Hillary/Obama debate was badly handled by their advisors. It has received "negative press" and has achieved nothing. However, it's early days and this is one of the most interesting elections in decades. The personalities involved are so diverse and their message so different. However, I cheekily disdain to make some comments (and you are free to shoot me down. I'm playing a logic game and not an infornmed game).

Hillary Clinton: Woman candidate (negative). May become positive on 5 Feb.
Barack Obama : Black candidate (negative). May become positive on 5 Feb.
Mike Huckabee: Baptist preacher (negative). Unlikely to get beyond 5 Feb.
Mitt Romney: Mormon (negative),. Unlikely to survive 5 Feb.
John Edwards: Probably out of the race already.
Fred Thompson: (negative). Should speak to his agent.
Rudy Guiliani (negative). Left it too late?
John Mc Cain (positive). May become negative due to his age but has a more positive position than any other.

I predict McCain to take it. Let's wait and see.

You guys know more about this than me but I've placed my bet. Why not?

Go for it, you're just as qualified to comment on our elections as we are... we just get to make our official. ;~D

I have to say though, I hope you're wrong, McCain cares too much about getting along for the sake of getting along.  I can't think of one "McCain-Democrat of the day" bill that didn't turn out to be a fiasco.

But my guy was the one who needs to talk to his agent, so....

I love to read comments like yours.  It does give us a more global view of what exactly we are doing (kind of hard to realize how silly we look when we are in the middle of the mud puddle).

Now I dont think you are right (too many 'Unlikely to go past Feb 5's), but it is a refreshing look.  And I do agree with many of your picks.

And for the record, Thompson is out as of yesterday.

Go for it!  We need color commentators that can provide a unique few to this 3 ring circus of an election!
