Political and topical news and commentary
With no offence to JU.

I have been a JU blogger for four years or so and I shall continue to be a JU blogger. But, there are some articles I like to write about that are more "Africa oriented" and I wondered, JU permitting, whether I could ask Joeusers for some tips.

Personally I find places like Blogspot oversubscribed and under-read. There's a Blogspot for everyone but that means hundreds of thousands of Blogspotters who drift with the wind. JU is far more selective, though I do miss some of the old Joeuser regulars.

What I need is a blog site that will be read by all Africans North to South. I'm still looking for a high traffic site but any advice will be welcome.

Well, Adnauseum.

JoeUser is pretty unique.

You could start a group at MySpace. Traffic there is pretty engaging.

Though I cannot see why you don't start a blogg here dealing with Africa. I am sure there are many African's on JoeUser, and as you know JoeUser has a world wide readership.

Peace,
Aeryck.

Hi Aeryck,
Groete man. Yes, you're right but the problem I find is that, apart from you and I and a few others, Africa is worlds away. Few of my JU friends can relate. There are not many "Africa interested" bloggers on JU.

Let me give you an example: I have a blog planned questioning why Adraan Vlok and Johann Van Der Merwe are being held accountable now! I'd like to have my say. JU guys don't know who Vlok is, so my blog is unread.

Great keeping in touch with you boytjie!

I'd do what Aeryck says and blog here, just cross promote yourself in Africa friendly areas. JU has such great positioning in the search engines that this is your best chance for people searching for Africa related information to see your work.

For instance, not Africa related but still, I wrote my article(s) about the Last Day of Faith Center Christian School because I couldn't find a single reference to the school on the entire web. My referrals from Google for that article show that on one search it was listed 3 times in the top five results on Google (due to the various versions -- forums, blog, etc.) that the person searched under.

You can't get that kind of exposure anywhere else.

Blog here, promote it in Africa centric areas.
