Zimbabwe now in very troubled waters.

In my previous post I ventured to suggest that Zimbabwe was sliding into the mire as surely as a hippo in quicksand. Quicksand is not the right word at all. A hell-hole would be closer after yesterday's events. I'm really angry and upset by the blatant bullying and plain unadulterated assault perpetrated on MDC (the opposition party), supporters and the leader, Morgan Tsangvirai. The United States has issued a warning to the polecat Mugabe that he release the MDC prisoners and desist from assaulting them.

Tsangvirai has been seen by reporters and it appears that he has indeed been assaulted. Has Mugabe no scruples? Has Mugabe not realised that his reign of terror, that has seen a country go into economic ruin, is more tenuous than ever. Like a Mobutu and an Amin, Mugabe will have no legacy. He is destroying a great country piece by piece, loaf of bread by loaf.

I'm beginning to sound like a continously re-wound tape but I believe, still, that Mugabe will fall soon. Those people have had enough!

One would hope. But look at the abuse the Soviet people put up with under Stalin.

Mugabe will fall soon

Oh, I hope so, if only for the sake of the innocent Zimbabweans (not sure if this is the correct collective noun) caught up in all this.
