Are you surprised?

Once upon a time there was a country that grew corn and vegetables for export, wheat for bread and meat for protein. Zimbabwe, once the breadbasket of Africa, is now bankrupt. They cannot pay for electricity, or imports of food and they cannot bake bread. Inflation is at 1000% and rising. The news today (see link) , threatens more white farmers with eviction and even the black farmers who struggle to make Zimbabwe work. They talk about compensation for land (well, that's new), but it will not happen.

Robert Mugabe has systematically destroyed a country with so much potential. Why? Because he has grudges to bear, and old scores to settle. He will not relent and he is determined to run his country into the ground. What happened to his wisdom? What happened to his plans for a great country? He has destroyed it all and his people, cowed as they are, will get sick of the old man. I wait for the day.

Ad this is just typical of African countries in general. They take over and are handed a country that is prospering and economically stable and within however many years they devastate the country, the population, the economy and all for what? Tribalism.

It reminds me of Pepsi in South Africa - When South Africa became a free country; Pepsi went into South Africa and opened up for business - it closed down within months due to mismanagement by little men that did not know how to control themselves, given a little power and access to the coffers they made stupid decisions and destroyed everything around themselves in the process. Pepsi was a laughing stock for a few months back then.

The Pepsi story though not a country is just another example of what Africa does to itself, they mismanage due to their egos getting out of control.

Egotism and tribalism = megolomaniacal dickheads. (sp)

I went to Zimbabwe many times after Mugabe took over and on each visit the ruin was more and more noticeable. I also did business with companies in Zimbabwe and they really suffered to keeps their heads above water with each passing year of Mugabe's despotic and syphilitic rule.

I see some of the countries across the Atlantic going the same route.  It is sad.  When we are admonished for not "feeding the hungry", what they are really doing is lecturing us to support tyrants like Mugabe.

I have prayed long enough for Mugabe to pass but it's proving, the more we pray the more he lives .Still i have hope that god will bail out Zimbabwe soon .
