But there are those who cover them up!

I had a paedophile on my staff once. He seemed like a nice guy, went to church--even preached in church. Great record this guy had--but I found out later that his record had been hushed up. This happens often with paedophiles. Their records are "put away" or "filed" in File 13.

So, this guy who came to me was highly recommended, good with kids and a great father figure. When he was arrested I found out he had a record. Remember, not before-- after the arrest. So I asked questions: Why wasn't I told? Why did you fob him off on to me? Why didn't you do something before?

The answer: We hoped you would reform him! Never mind that parents at the school reamed my ass!

The Foley problem and all similar paedophile problems benefit from "hushing up" and " he's reformed" and " give him another chance."

When it comes to senior positions like Church Reverend, School Principal, Congressman or even Senator, there should be no doubt that a man is honest, upright and an example to others. Foley slipped through the net and others knew about him--and his record goes way back.

Glad they found out but they should have found out sooner--the man is Creepy sick!

Sure Doc, but the point was: Where there's smoke there's fire.

Unless you have a smoke machine...but still, I agree with you. You shouldn't have creepy ass people like that in government offices...especially when they're going to be around the thing that will tempt them all day.

Maybe this kid was 18...but I doubt he was the only one...and I'm sure there were younger kids around him at some point.
