Protests and opposition to UN will be Sudan's downfall.
The African Union Force wasa good idea. It was first mooted by President Obasanju of Nigeria and President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa.
This peacekeeping army of soldiers from members of the AU was meant to be a cause for good in those African countries that needed help,
whether it was to quell warring factions or provide succour to the needy displaced masses.
The problem with the AU is that there are too few troops on the ground; they are un-motivated; they lack an understanding of the problems of Darfur ; some elements are poorly trained; they are not MAKING a difference to the stability of the region.
Along comes Koffi and his intended peacekeeping force is rejected by the Sudanese as they wish the under-equipped, under-manned AU to remain .Muhamad Elsamani, Sudan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has said that " if the UN arrives the troubles will spread in the region".
This is a naive, stupid statement which leads me to believe that the Sudanese government definitely does have a "genocide agenda". I ask these foolish people, supposedly in control of a country, three questions:
-Why are the Sudanese people in Khartoum protesting against the UN force? Is it because you would like to keep the status quo in your efforts to incite racial hatred?
-Why won't you admit that the militant Janjaweed are in your pay because you are intent on the genocide of a section of your population you are intent on destroying?
-Why don't you realise that your people are fleeing your country to seek refuge in Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia et al, because you cannot bring one percent of stability to your country?
As this is Joeuser and our bloggers have a habit of not pulling their punches, I am going to suggest that the government of Sudan is a lying, conniving, racist bunch of self-serving hypocrites who do not know the word "democracy" and, because of their foolishness, are inciting another Rwanda scenario.
